Mr. Chandan Kumar Dakua, Class IX of PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA KANDHAMAL has made a face recognition attendance system using block coding in PICTOBLOX.
This system is more accurate and less time consuming as it takes all students’ attendance simultaneously, who comes in front of the camera. All other attendance systems like IRID card, Finger print are time consuming as students have to come one by one and also fraudulent uses can be done. Other attendance system like voice recognition which is less accurate and Iris recognition which is accurate but having issue of privacy invasion and also time consuming as students have to come one by one to mark the attandance.
Now I’ll show you how my project works. It has two steps first one is data entry in which the student have to entre their face data into the database, also it will ask you few questions about your class, Name and roll no. and in second step when ever we have to take attendance just press the up arrow from keyboard and it will mark the attendance of the student come in front of the camera. The step one is only one time process and can also be done using the photo of the students.
